DHS qualifies DSS™ as Anti-Terrorism Technology

The Department of Homeland Security officially designated the DSS™ Technology as a Qualified Anti Terrorism Technology.

dhs-signatureThe Department of Homeland Security (DHS) spends billions of dollars each year on programs designed to strengthen the nation's ability to protect critical infrastructure facilities and systems, to enhance the ability of State and local governments to prepare, prevent, and respond to terrorist attacks and other disasters.

The DSS™Technology has been officially designated by the Department of Homeland Security as a Qualified Anti Terrorism Technology. Now, Federal agencies, State and Local governments can use the DSS™ Technology for programs aimed at:

  • protecting critical infrastructure and key assets such as airports, seaports, LNG terminals, tankers, cargo trains, etc.
  • providing transportation security by equipping fuel tankers, cargo trains and public transportation vehicles with the DSS technology, and,
  • defending against and preventing catastrophic threats

Recently the technology successfully passed a comprehensive ballistics and fire testing by the U.S. Department of Defense at the U.S. Army Aberdeen Test Center (ATC) at Aberdeen Proving Grounds (APG). Also, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has designated our technology officially as a Qualified Anti Terrorism Technology. DSS™ is the only patented technology that passed successfully all DoD/US Army testing including:

  • Ballistics threats tests using the following cartridges: .50 Caliber M20 Armor Piercing Incendiary- Tracer (API-T); .50 Caliber M8 Armor Piercing Incendiary (API); and a 7.62 mm M62 Tracer, Control.
  • Field test conducted by U.S. Army's Special forces using a thermite grenade field test
  • Fire threat test, and
  • Welding test using a blow torch to open a hole on a drum containing gasoline.
